The former Principal of Uduvil Girls’ College, Dr. (Miss) C.V. Chelliaiah, marked her 90th birthday recently, receiving heartfelt tributes from the college community and its alumni.

On the 31st, the Old Girls’ Association of Uduvil Girls' College organized a special thanksgiving service at the college chapel to honor her life and legacy. The service was attended by board members, former students, and well-wishers, who gathered in gratitude for her remarkable contribution to the institution.

A second celebration was held on another day with the participation of the current college community, including students, teachers, the Principal, and staff members. The occasion reflected the deep respect and affection she continues to receive across generations of the college family.

Dr. Chelliaiah’s long tenure as Principal is remembered as a period of significant development and strengthening of the college.
