Welcome to Subramaniyam Kanagam Pleasant Cottage, a loving and peaceful elders’ home operated by the Jaffna Diocese of the Church of South India (JDCSI).
Nestled in a beautiful natural environment, our home provides care, comfort, and dignity for 30 elderly residents. Surrounded by colorful flower gardens and fresh air, this is a place where our elders can enjoy a peaceful and meaningful life.
At Pleasant Cottage, we are blessed with a dedicated team of 15 trained staff members who provide compassionate care around the clock. Beyond meeting physical needs, our nurses and caregivers spend quality one-to-one time with each resident, listening, talking, and building genuine relationships that bring comfort and joy.
Our elders actively engage in home gardening, nurturing plants and vegetables while enjoying the therapeutic benefits of nature. They also spend their leisure time watching television, reading story books, and participating in activities that keep their minds active and their spirits uplifted.
Adding to the holistic care we provide, the home is attached to McLeod Hospital and a chapel, ensuring easy access to healthcare and spiritual support whenever needed.
